Wisdom in Silence

Wisdom in Silence
Charcoal and pastel on paper

Wisdom in Silence presents a portrait of an elder woman whose expression conveys strength, resilience, and grace without words. The work balances firm structure with delicate softness, each line and highlight sculpted to honor the passage of time. Drawing on my background as a sculptor, I tried to capture not only likeness but presence — a meditation on memory, endurance, and the eloquence of silence.
